What was that scary show called?

Ok, I remembered these as a kid, I saw a old man telling a story which
is a different kind of a episode and there was a magician and his
assistance, but the parent's kid wanted the hat not wanting to choose
one of three different bag, he take it away and somehow got stuck into
the hat saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" The Magician tried to do
everything he can do to get the boy out of the hat, where the hat is
now out of stone.

But to no avail, so they bury the hat with the parents crying. Even
though the kid is still inside the hat.
